Solidarity with Dr. Tim Anderson, Coordinator of the Network in Defense of Humanity in Australia and the Pacific Islands
It is with great concern that we learned of the news that Dr Tim Anderson, Coordinator of the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity in Australia and the Pacific Islands, has been banned from the University of Sydney and suspended from his post as Professor.
This measure is a repressive act against the militant activism of Professor Anderson, the courage with which he defends his criteria and the systematic denunciations against the genocidal aggressions to which the peoples of Syria, Iraq and Palestine have historically been subjected to.
The Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity considers that this decision is unjust, and therefore calls for it to be immediately repealed and for the rights to be restored to the prestigious professor Tim Anderson, on the basis of the norms of intellectual and academic freedom that should always characterize this respectable Australian University.
